Original HP 920XL Black Officejet Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging

The only problem I had was one of the boxes was pretty busted up prior to them sending it to me and when I emailed them, they did not bother responding.

I bought this item from another company because they gave me $50 off for my old HP that had run out of ink and I figured it’s easier to just go wireless and get some ink instead of paying $38 bucks for just plain black ink. I also originally got the wired version by mistake and the vendor changed it to this one at no charge so I got this for about 50 Bucks! wooohoooo!!!
The one I had was an HP Officejet but the trays were missing from the move and the print in color was real bad now as I think it was beacuse of lack of use of color.
It set up real fast as I had nothing to do just plugged it in and put in the software and it was ready to go, although you have to install for each computer you have it does take a bit long but it does it all by itself no problem.
I LOVE the fact that I can just say print and don’t have to drag my notebook to the printer anymore.
It’s a bit noisy as it seem to clean up alot and takes it a while to get going but it’s very reliable and it scans and prints and copies for me easily haven’t had the scanning problems I had with the older version and I run VISTA.
Great product for the price as far as I can see if you need all the goodies, I don’t fax but I do scan everything into PDF which is my way of filing everything so it’s great for me and it does it all real fast and even does a one button tranfer to whichever computer you want.

Item arrived in a timely manner.
However, when I snapped off the top to insert the ink cartridge, ink splashed out the opening onto my desk, the printer, and my hands!
I can’t help but wonder how many pages would have been printed by the ink that was spilled. And what a mess!
Did I get a dud?

Purchased about a month ago to replace and HP6100. Althought it is a wireless unit we just pluged it into our router because we have extenders on the network. Works good. The scan software is a little iffy in that sometimes it will just forget what it is suppose to do from the front panel. However its good other than that.
The problem with all of the HP printers is the cost of INK. You know where they make their money. We had a v40 at our place at the beach and we probably printed 20 pages over a year and the cartridge just quit. I later heard that HP has a way of killing it after the system see a year regardless of the amount of ink.
However the 6500 is compact net and for buck and a half its good.

I Put the 6500 wireless into my office to replace a tired out HP all-in-one. I found the following:
Nice product (good looking, well packed)
Easy to do the mechanical set-up
If you’re going wireless and are a relative neophyte at IT; get help to do it.
The Scan is tough to set up and even harder to make work consistently.
The unit is noisy and relatively slow for use as a copier.
Print quality is good.
I hope that it lasts longer than the one it replaced.
It did solve my network printer usage problems.
